ເຊັນ
ເຊັນ (ຍີ່ປຸ່ນ: 禅, ぜん; ຝະລັ່ງ, ອັງກິດ: Zen) ເປັນນິກາຍນຶ່ງໃນສາສະໜາພຸດຝ່າຍມະຫາຍານ ນັບຖືກັນຢ່າງແພ່ຫຼາຍໃນແຖບອາຊີຕາເວັນອອກ (ຈີນ, ຍີ່ປຸ່ນ, ເກົາຫຼີ).
ຄຳວ່າ ເຊັນ ແມ່ນຊື່ຍີ່ປຸ່ນຂອງຄຳວ່າ ສານ (ຈີນ: 禅, Chán). ໃນພາສາຈີນ ແຫຼ່ງກຳເນີດຈາກຄຳວ່າ ທຍານ ໃນພາສາສັນສະກິດອີກທອດນຶ່ງ (ກົງກັບຄຳວ່າ ຊານ ໃນພາສາປາລີ) ເຊິ່ງໝາຍເຖິງ ການເພ່ງອາລົມຈົນໃຈແນ່ວແນ່ເປັນອັບປະນາສະມາທິ ມີຈິດທີ່ສະຫງົບແລະປະນີດ.
